"Recovering one Healthy Habit at a time!"
Healthy Habits Healing Homes
Program Model
for Recovery Bridge Homes
Healthy Habits PRE-Rehab Home is a Recovery Bridge Home designed to fill one of the most critical gaps in the addiction recovery continuum.
Individuals who complete medically supervised detoxification are often medically stable for discharge within a matter of days. However, residential rehabilitation programs frequently have waiting lists, insurance authorization delays, or limited bed availability. Once patients are medically stable, hospitals generally cannot continue providing inpatient care solely because a rehabilitation bed is unavailable. As a result, many individuals are discharged during one of the most vulnerable stages of recovery, increasing the risk of relapse, overdose, homelessness, hospitalization, or involvement with the criminal justice system.
Healthy Habits Healing Home provides a safe, structured, substance-free environment where residents can continue healing while awaiting admission to residential rehabilitation.
Located in a peaceful rural setting, the home intentionally minimizes access to alcohol and illicit drugs, creating an environment where residents can focus entirely on healing and personal growth.
Organizational Structure
Healthy Habits Healing Home is fiscally sponsored by the Positive Zone Foundation, allowing the program to operate under an established nonprofit organization while building partnerships, pursuing grants, accepting tax-deductible charitable contributions, and developing long-term sustainability.
The program is supported by an interdisciplinary Advisory Board of specialized professionals. The four Wellness Advocates have direct access to advisors with expertise in addiction medicine, psychiatry, psychology, counseling, nutrition, occupational therapy, housing, finance, legal services, peer recovery, and community health. This collaborative model allows residents to benefit from specialized expertise while maintaining an efficient and financially sustainable staffing structure.
