"Recovering one Healthy Habit at a time!"

Connecting the Recovery Community

with the Wellness Community

Team Group Hug

"Healthy Habits - Inspiration for Recovering" is a peer-led group and is open to all who are recovering from habits that have done them more harm than good.  This is an independent wellness and recovering curriculum developed by Healthy Habits Healing LLC. While the program is inspired by broadly recognized recovery principles, Healthy Habits Healing LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with any other 12-step programs or religious organizations.

These are our suggested 12 steps:

1. We are recovering from habits that have done more harm than good to our lives.

2. We know our mind doesn’t know everything, and we accept that it is possible to heal through something that is beyond our understanding. We may choose to call the aspect that knows what is best for us, our Higher Power.

3. We commit to listening to our Higher Power for guidance on healthy habits.

4. We take a moral inventory of ourselves to discover our resentments, the causes, and the effects.

5. We admit our mistakes and reveal ourselves to those who have earned our trust.

6. We accept that we have tried the best we could, and are now ready to surrender our unhealthy habits to our higher power and to ask our higher power to help us sustain healthy habits.

7. We humbly allow our Higher Power to dissolve any burdens that make us seem more or less than we really are.

8. We make a list of all persons we have harmed and become willing to make amends to them all.

9. We make direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when doing so would injure them or others.

10. We continue to take personal inventory and when we are wrong, promptly admit it and make amends.

11. We seek through practices, self-inquiry, listening, expression, and meditation to improve our conscious contact with our Higher Power- asking only for knowledge of the best path for us and the power to carry that out.

12. We lead by example by taking responsibility for our intentions, attitudes, and actions, and share our experience, strength, and hope with all people who are trying to change their habits for the better by helping to guide them through these steps when asked.
